The Environmental club's goals are to make MVHS the greenest high school in Naperville by implementing programs that help our school conserve all types of resources and to spread conservation practices to Metea Valley families and the local community.

 Do you like puzzles? Do you like applying prior knowledge to new concepts? Math Team is an opportunity for students to explore and compete in areas of mathematics that are not covered in regular classes. Our Mathletes are collaborative, curious, and competitive. We work together to explore non-traditional math problems that intrigue and stretch our minds. MV Mathletes compete against 55 other schools in the North Suburban Math League and the ICTM Regional and State Meets at Illinois State University! Scholastic Bowl is ideal for trivia buffs and Jeopardy lovers. Any interested student may join at any time from October through April. Matches are held with all conference schools and other local schools. The team also participates in invitational tournaments and state tournaments. Follow at @MVScoBowl

The purpose of Science National Honor Society shall be to encourage participation in and recognition of scientific and intellectual thought. It is to advance the students’ knowledge of classical and modern science, to communicate with the scientific community, and to aid the civic community with its comprehension of science. It is to encourage students to participate in community service and, in turn, encourage a dedication to the pursuit of scientific knowledge that benefits all mankind.

The Science Olympiad is a team academic competition. Students of all academic backgrounds compete in 23 events covering aspects of life, earth, and physical sciences. Topics include: building and engineering events, forensics, cell biology, electricity, water rockets and titrations. No player is expected to know all the material before joining. We have practice times to work on events.

As the premiere biology competition for high school students in the United States, the USA Biolympiad (USABO) enriches the life science education of nearly 10,000 talented students annually. It provides the motivation, curricular resources, and skills training to take them beyond their classroom experience to the level of international competitiveness. After two rounds of challenging exams, twenty Finalists are invited to a residential training program where they learn advanced biological concepts and exacting lab skills at the USABO National Finals. Ultimately, four students earn the right to represent the United States as the USA Biolympiad Team at the International Biology Olympiad (IBO), a worldwide competition involving student teams from over seventy countries.
