Dr. Jennings (AKA "Dr. J") joins our community with over two decades of dedicated service in education. She spent 21 years at DeKalb High School, beginning her career as a Spanish and literacy teacher before stepping into leadership roles, including Assistant Principal for Student Services and Operations, and Assistant Principal for Teaching & Learning.

Dr. J is passionate about creating equitable opportunities for all students and dismantling systemic barriers that prevent students from achieving their full potential. She specializes in using data-driven decision-making to foster continuous school improvement. For Dr. J, student needs always come first and drive every decision that is made. As a servant leader, she prioritizes student, family, staff, and community relationships to creatively solve problems and optimize student academic and social-emotional learning.

Dr. J is a lifelong learner who holds the following degrees:
Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, American College of Education
Master of Education in Educational Leadership, American College of Education
Master of Education in Reading and Literacy, Benedictine University
Master of Arts in Spanish, Northern Illinois University
Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Northern Illinois University

Mr. Fehrmann has served the Indian Prairie School District for over 25 years. Starting his career at Waubonsie Valley then transitioning to Still Middle School followed by Neuqua Valley, Matt has served the Metea Valley community for the past 14 years. While in District 204, outside of teaching PE and serving as Intramural Director, coaching a wide variety of sports, he has served as Assistant AD and Athletic Director for nearly 10 years. 

Mr. Fehrmann is a huge advocate not just for the Metea Valley student-athletes but for the Metea Valley community as well. Always putting students first, Matt strives to create a positive experience for all parties involved. Teaching valuable lessons through the game of sport in both success and failure is something he loves to see how all respond and grow from. His goal is to continue to provide great opportunities for the entire community while never taking his foot off the pedal in improving the aesthetics for the well-deserved community. His motto is simply to get involved!

Mr Fehrmann attended Eastern Illinois for his undergraduate degree while completing his Masters through Chicago State and Administrative degree through Aurora University.
