MV Student Qualifies for National Chemistry Olympiad

Reported by webmaster@ipsd.org on 3/24/17

Please join me in congratulating junior, Shashank Vege, for qualifying to take the National Chemistry Olympiad test! To qualify he scored within the top 20 at the Chicago local exam last Saturday. Only 1000 students across the nation out of the 16,000 students that take local exam qualify. This is indeed a great achievement!

This is the second year Metea has participated and the second student to qualify.

The U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) program is a chemistry competition for high school students. It is intended to stimulate young people to achieve excellence in chemistry. The American Chemical Society (ACS) has sponsored the program since 1984.
