Indian Prairie Scholars

Reported by on 2/7/17

At Metea, we believe our mission statement of LIFE supports our academic environment to facilitate our students to excel both in school and life beyond Metea. In honor and celebration of Metea Valley High School students’ academic accomplishments, the following is a list of students who have earned a 3.6 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale for their academic performance and acknowledged as being Indian Prairie Scholars.

The Indian Prairie Scholar program was developed to bestow academic recognition on high school seniors in District 204 who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.6 or higher over seven semesters. It is our pleasure to announce the
2016-2017 Indian Prairie Scholars at Metea Valley High School. The logo for the Indian Prairie Scholars program is a flying kite with string and a key attached to it (see image above). This logo symbolizes discovery. The slogan, Omne ignotum pro magnifico, is Latin for everything that is unknown is taken to be grand. The logo and slogan are representative of the journey through formal education.
