PSAT/NMSQT Information

District 204 High School Testing Information
Please see District 204 High School Testing Information letter for important changes to Testing for the 2018-2019 school year. Current juniors are invited to register for the upcoming October PSAT. The October PSAT is optional for juniors (details outlined below). Freshmen and sophomores will take a PSAT in April when juniors take the SAT this Spring. October 10th will be a regular school day for all grade levels.

PSAT Registration Information for Juniors
On October 10th, Metea Valley will offer the PSAT/NMSQT Test to any junior interested in registering for the test. This test is recommended for college-bound juniors who fall within the top tier of their class. The PSAT is the only qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program. The National Merit program awards several prestigious honors for students who score in the 98th or higher percentile of the standardized exam.

The PSAT registration fee is $23. Please follow the steps listed below to complete the registration process. Students registering for the test will receive testing room information prior to the test date. On October 10th, students report directly to their testing room at the start of the day. Testing will run through 5th period. If students’ regularly scheduled lunch falls during the testing period, they will eat lunch following the test and then report to their next scheduled class. This is not an early dismissal day for any student, including the students testing. Testing Room Assignments will be posted online on October 8th.

Registration Process:
Students register for the PSAT online at www.TotalRegistration.net/PSAT/140187 from August 27th through September 10th. They must answer all the required questions on the registration site in order to complete the exam registration process. A confirmation page indicates that the exam registration has been successfully completed. Please print a copy for your records. If you do not receive a confirmation page, you are NOT registered and will not be able to test!

Metea Valley is excited to offer families the ability to pay their exam fee of $23 online at the time of registration. Please be sure to have a credit or debit card available while registering. Payment is not accepted at MVHS. Registrations that are not paid by 11:59 PM, on Monday, September 10th will be cancelled, and those exams will not be ordered.

Cancellation Policy:
We understand that on rare occasions students must cancel an exam. Students who cancel an exam by Monday, September 10th are entitled to a refund of the exam fee minus a cancellation fee of $3. There will be no refunds after September 10th.
